I predict a diet cookie will one day become common as a term common household diets as Atkins, Weight Watchers, or low fat. It is inevitable for many reasons but mostly because of how effective it is. Once you get over the initial shock of it being a "cookie" (it's not like your Chip Ahoy cookie) and see what it really is, you can enjoy its benefits.
For those of you not familiar with this weight loss plan, it is a meal replacement in the form of a cookie that you eat during the day followed by a sensible, low calorie, balanced dinner. Cookies in a diet program cookies are designed to eliminate hunger and food cravings by being a high-protein, high fiber, whole grain food. Once your hunger and cravings are eliminated you are able to stay on a low calorie diet long enough to finally achieve your weight loss.

Obesity has increased in the U.S. for many years and it does not look like all the advice we got from the "experts" made a dent in the epidemic. If you look back over the years, these experts seem to be a little confusing, if not totally lost when it comes to solutions for their obesity. There was the low fat / no fat advice of 80, but wait, there was a reversal and we are told there is such a thing as good fat!
The food pyramid has undergone many changes and look different depending on which site you look. The group was put to the fat tip of the pyramid, direct us to eat as little as possible, which could cause problems. Fat is essential for sustainability of a general person. Unsaturated fats from natural sources can actually help you lose weight, reduce the risk of heart disease, lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels even lower. He prepared to ask what are the major food industries have influenced the design of the pyramid.
Today, it seems that practitioners have looked on the regimes have failed (I call them "failed" just because obesity is still rising), throw up their hands in exasperation and say " Well, just eat less and exercise! "But wait! Do not exercise your appetite making you eat more? If you have to walk 8 miles just to lose 1 pound, perhaps the exercise is not really necessary to lose weight.

Everybody wants an easy solution. We all want our cake and eat it too and still lose weight. We remain hopeful there is this magic bullet that will make weight loss easy and solve the obesity epidemic. Perhaps there will one day, but it has not yet been found. So far, the best way to lose weight is to reduce the number of calories you consume. This sounds simple enough, but in reality it is not. If it were, there would be no obesity epidemic. Everyone would just eat less and lose weight. It does not work that way. Eating less causes hunger and few of us can maintain a state of hunger for long. For many of us, cravings are actually worse than hunger. We can not be hungry, but we roam around this unfulfilled desire until we give in.
Now back to why I believe will become common diet cookie. If you can eliminate hunger and cravings, then half the battle is over. Diet pills will do, but there was so much controversy over diet pills, I shudder to think of taking any! On the other hand, in a control diet, you have here a natural food product that eliminates hunger and cravings. That's all you really need to stay on a diet. If you need quick weight loss, to stay motivated, you can use cookies to reduce your calorie intake drastically. Otherwise, you can use them as a snack here and there to help you stay on your own calorie-reduced diet.
It's really that simple. Once we abandon our attempts to find the magic bullet that will lose weight for us, we can return to what we know ... if we reduce our caloric intake, we will lose weight. If we need something that will help us remain in a state of reduced caloric intake so that our body will burn stored fat for fuel, cookie diets do just that.
